Harhues & Teufert in Velbert supplies the mechanical guide elements for mast systems: rollers, profiles and accessories for lifting equipment, fixtures and machines. Typical drives are chains with motor and gearbox, pneumatic cylinders or screw spindles; forklift masts are a common application. The range covers combined rollers, radial bearings, high-temperature axial rollers, guide profiles and accessories. Common profiles are stocked and can be machined to requirement. Parts designed for a specific application can be engineered and manufactured on request.
Combined rollers take high radial and axial loads in one component. Sizes and outer contours suit standard U-profiles, precision U-profiles and I-profiles, with rolling bearings or polymer plain bearings. Documented advantages: low design and assembly cost, simple mating structure, high static and dynamic load capacity, outer contour for load introduction, long service life. Variants are fixed, adjustable via eccentric pin, or adjustable via shims. Relubrication is provided from an outer diameter of 77.7 mm (one U-profile variant states 77.0 mm).
Material is case-hardening steel, raceway hardness 60 − 2 HRC, tolerance class PN, allowable surface pressure phzul = 810 N/mm². Seals: RS contact seal or Z labyrinth; grease class 3. Welding recommendation: G4Si 1 wire, 1.2 mm, low heat input. On adjustable axial rollers, after removing the front cover, turning the axis changes dimensions L, C and s by 1.5 mm to 4.0 mm depending on roller size (I-profiles 1.5 mm to 2.0 mm); the cover is then screwed. Shims can change dimension s by up to 2.5 mm between pin and cover or via spacer rings on the polymer pin. The axial roller must only rest lightly on the profile.
Radial bearings suit standard and precision U-profiles, also relubricatable from D = 77.7 mm. With a modified roller pin they also suit I-profiles. Seals: RS lip or Z labyrinth. High-temperature axial rollers are for standard and precision U-profiles and high thermal load, operating temperatures up to +250 °C. They resist aggressive chemicals and vapours and are used where other lubricants would affect polymer friction partners. The product page also notes lower maintenance and higher plant availability. Again the axial roller must only rest lightly on the profile.
Profiles include U-section Standard S in S235JR, pickled, rolled to about 6 m, primed, painted or hot-dip galvanized on request, with drilling and milling. Hot-rolled U and I Standard nb and precision U-sections (hot-rolled and machined) can be primed or galvanized and drilled, milled or tapped to customer drawings. Profile steel in the combined-roller context: 18MnNb6; straightness ±10 mm/m, straightened ±0.3 mm/m possible, length ±2 mm.
Accessories: screw-on flanges for radial and combined rollers in S235JR-K; shims 0.5 mm or 1.00 mm for all combined-roller sizes (axial play by adding or removing shims, max. 2.5 mm); spacer plates for welded bearings with flanges, fitted between flange and the mounting structure.
